Vida Human Rights Agency (ADHV)
The Vida Human Rights Agency (ADHV) is an independent, non-profit institution committed to the promotion, protection, and defense of human rights throughout the country. Grounded in the principles of human dignity, social justice, equality, and respect for fundamental freedoms, ADHV carries out activities aimed at strengthening citizenship and building a society that is more just, inclusive, and grounded in solidarity.
Operating with technical expertise, ethics, and a human-centered approach, the Agency supports individuals and communities facing social vulnerability, offering guidance, referrals, and assistance in cases involving rights violations, discrimination, violence, social exclusion, and other forms of injustice. Its work seeks not only to address immediate needs but also to foster lasting solutions through raising awareness, human rights education, and collaboration with public and private institutions as well as civil society organizations.
ADHV believes that the realization of human rights depends on active societal participation and cooperation across different sectors. To this end, it develops projects, educational campaigns, prevention efforts, social inclusion initiatives, and community-strengthening programs—all guided by transparency, institutional accountability, and a commitment to the public interest.
While maintaining its institutional independence, the Agency acts impartially—respecting the Federal Constitution, international human rights treaties, and Brazilian law—thereby contributing to access to justice, the promotion of equal opportunities, and the unwavering defense of life.
More than just an organization, ADHV represents an instrument of social transformation, dedicated to protecting rights, empowering citizens, and fostering a culture of peace, respect, and solidarity. Its commitment is to build bridges between society and human rights protection mechanisms, ensuring that every person is treated with dignity, has their voice respected, and finds the support needed to fully exercise their citizenship in any region of Brazil.
