Institutional Values

Human Dignity

The Vida Human Rights Agency (ADHV) recognizes human dignity as the essential foundation of all its institutional actions. Each individual possesses intrinsic value, regardless of their origin, social condition, ethnicity, gender, belief, age, or any other characteristic. The unconditional defense of life and fundamental rights permanently guides the institution's actions in all its activities.

The valuing of the human person represents ADHV's commitment to respect for freedom, equality, physical and moral integrity, and the full exercise of citizenship. The institution believes that no person should be deprived of their rights or subjected to any form of discrimination, violence, or social exclusion.

Through its actions, ADHV seeks to ensure that everyone has access to the guarantees provided for in the Federal Constitution, international human rights treaties, and current legislation. Respect for dignity strengthens democratic coexistence and contributes to the construction of a more just and egalitarian society.

The institution promotes initiatives focused on humane reception, qualified listening, and responsible care for people in vulnerable situations, always preserving their rights, privacy, and integrity. Each interaction is carried out with sensitivity, ethics, and social commitment.

Defending human dignity means recognizing that every life has inestimable value. This principle inspires ADHV to act daily in promoting justice, social inclusion, and the protection of fundamental rights, strengthening a culture based on respect, solidarity, and the valuing of life.

Social Justice

Social justice constitutes one of the central pillars of ADHV's work and represents a permanent commitment to reducing existing social, economic, and cultural inequalities in Brazil. The institution believes that only a society committed to equal opportunities can guarantee the full exercise of human rights.

The promotion of social justice involves actions aimed at strengthening citizenship, equal access to public services, protection of vulnerable populations, and the encouragement of public policies that promote inclusion and human development.

ADHV works to identify situations of social exclusion, rights violations, and discrimination, seeking solutions through institutional dialogue, legal and social guidance, and collaboration with different sectors of society.

The institution understands that combating inequalities requires continuous action, collective responsibility, and ethical commitment. Therefore, it encourages initiatives that promote education, the creation of opportunities, community strengthening, and respect for fundamental rights.

Social justice represents the path to a more balanced, democratic, and supportive society. ADHV reaffirms its commitment to contributing to a country where all people can live with dignity, security, freedom, and equal rights.

Ethics and Integrity

Ethics constitutes the foundation of all decisions and actions developed by ADHV. The institution acts with honesty, responsibility, impartiality, and absolute respect for Brazilian law, preserving high standards of professional and institutional conduct.

Integrity guides its relationships with citizens, partners, public bodies, and civil society organizations, ensuring that all activities are conducted with transparency, respect, and commitment to the public interest.

ADHV adopts responsible governance practices, seeking to ensure that its processes are conducted efficiently, ethically, and in line with the principles of responsible administration and good institutional management.

Each employee, volunteer, and partner shares the commitment to act with respect, professionalism, and responsibility, strengthening the institution's credibility with society and consolidating an organizational culture based on trust.

Acting ethically means protecting the dignity of people, respecting fundamental rights, and contributing to the construction of institutional relationships based on honesty, justice, and social responsibility.
